A street scene with a male entertainer holding the rope of a muzzled and chained bear and dancing to the music of a boy playing the shawm whilst leaning against a wall to the left; in the right foreground a monkey wearing a coat is seated on a second muzzeld and chained bear.AUTORE: Volpato Giovanni

Acquaforte tratta dalla serie composta da dodici tavole delle “Arti per via”, di Giovanni Volpato. La stampa raffigura una scena di strada con un intrattenitore che tiene fra le mani il guinzaglio di un orso in catene, danzando sulle note di un suonatore di ciaramella appoggiato alla parete a sinistra. Al lato destro dell’incisione, una scimmia con indosso un cappotto sta seduta su un altro orso incatenato. Splendido esemplare con poco margine, imbrunimento e macchie.
