Acquaforte tratta dalla serie di dodici tavole “Arti per via”, di Giovanni Volpato. La stampa mostra un burattinaio ed un musicista di strada di fronte ad una struttura pieghevole fatta di legno e stracci che funge da teatrino per il loro spettacolo. La piccola campana in primo piano, così come l’allegro suono del violino, ha lo scopo di attirare il pubblico per l’inizio dello spettacolo. Engraving from a series of 12 street trades “Arti per via” (Street Arts), all engraved by Volpato after Francesco Maggiotto for Cavalli. This print shows a puppeteer and a blind street musician in front of a collapsible wood-and-canvas stage for their Punch-and-Judy show. The small bell in the foreground, like the happy sound of the violin, would attract customers to the ramshackle corner of the city in time to take in the show.
